Frequently asked questions.
What is Wild Norwegian?
Wild Norwegian is a slow living project focused on presence, calm, and connection to nature. I create mindful content through nature videos, photography, and quiet reflections, to help you pause, breathe, and feel grounded. This is a space for those who long for a calmer lifestyle and deeper attention to the small things.
Are you open to collaborations?
As a radio host and journalist for NRK, I follow strict editorial guidelines. That means commercial collaborations are limited and must be approved on a case-by-case basis. Still, I’m open to thoughtful suggestions, especially when it comes to equipment, services or tools that support the mission of Wild Norwegian. If you think we’re a good match, feel free to reach out. Also feel free to contact me about creative collaborations.
How can I support Wild Norwegian?
If my nature-focused videos or slow living stories bring you peace, you’re welcome to support the work. You can donate through Buy Me a Coffee, or use the support button in the footer. Every contribution helps keep this space ad-free and intentional.
What kind of gear do you use?
Now for all the geeky stuff: I film with a Sony A7IV camera, in 4K 10 bit SLOG-3. I use various lenses, most frequently the Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro lens and Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 DG DN ART to capture the small and beautiful details in nature. I also use the Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G for wide angles and vlog, the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS for wildlife and the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DN ART for those crisp portraits. Recently I’ve also been experimenting with a vintage Helios 44-2 58mm, which is a lot of fun. To make sure I see all the details while shooting, I use an Atomos Shinobi monitor.
My camera is safely mounted on a Sirui 3213x tripod, and sometimes on a DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal. My videos are edited and color graded in Adobe Premiere Pro. Photos are edited in Adobe Lightroom and sometimes Adobe Photoshop. The goal is to create cinematic nature content that feels slow, clear, and close.
How often do you share new content?
I post nature videos and photography on Instagram and YouTube several times a week. On Instagram you’ll find short, fleeting moments of the tiny details in nature. On YouTube, you’ll find relaxing nature videos, slow living films and reflective talking head videos. I don’t follow a strict schedule. I create when it feels right, steady, not rushed. I do, however, aim to release a new Slow Talks episode every Sunday.
Can I use your content in a project?
All content shared through Wild Norwegian, including videos, photos and written reflections, is protected by copyright. If you’d like to use something in a project, presentation, or publication, please get in touch. I’m usually happy to say yes, especially if it aligns with the values behind this work. Just ask first.
Do you offer commercial licensing for your content?
In some cases, yes. If you're interested in using my videos, images, or writing in a commercial context, like a campaign, product, app, or media production, please get in touch. I handle each request personally to make sure the content is used in ways that align with the values behind Wild Norwegian.
