Keep Going: Why Persistence Matters More Than Motivation
Some days, the hardest thing isn’t starting — it’s not stopping when everything in you wants to quit.
We’ve all been there. The project half-finished. The habit that was easy for the first week, but now feels like climbing a hill. The dream that suddenly looks too far away.
Motivation gets you moving. But it’s persistence that keeps you alive in the middle of the climb. And that’s where real growth happens.

The Dip: Why It Feels Hard
Every journey has a dip.
At first, excitement carries us. We start strong, energized, convinced this time will be different. But motivation always fades. And when it does, the work feels heavier. Doubt grows louder.
That’s the moment most people stop.
But here’s the secret: the dip is where things take root. It’s where you prove to yourself that you’re not just chasing a spark — you’re building something that lasts.
Why We Quit
We don’t usually quit because we’re incapable. We quit because it feels slower than we hoped.
Progress doesn’t shout — it whispers. It doesn’t arrive in fireworks — it sneaks in, quietly, day after day.
And because of that, it’s easy to miss. We compare our messy beginning to someone else’s polished middle and assume we’re falling behind.
But slow progress is still progress. Sometimes it’s the slow pace that builds the deepest strength.
A Personal Reminder
When I started my YouTube-channel, I thought growth would be fast. I poured my evenings into it, hoping the audience would find me right away.
It didn’t happen like that.
With a full-time job and three kids, there have been nights when I’ve wondered if it was even worth it. But I kept showing up. Small steps. Steady effort.
And slowly, something deeper began to grow. Not just numbers, but connection. Not just views, but people who felt seen.
That’s why I believe: consistency beats intensity every time.
How to Keep Going (When You Want to Stop)
If you’re in your own dip right now, here are three practices that can help:
Lower the bar
On hard days, don’t aim for perfect. Aim for small.
Write one sentence. Stretch for two minutes. Take one step. Small effort keeps momentum alive.Focus on rhythm, not results
Fall in love with the practice itself. If the rhythm gives you life, you’ll keep showing up long after the initial spark fades.Find anchors
Support systems matter. People who remind you why you began. Routines that hold you steady. Notes or reminders that pull you back when you drift.
PERSITENCE WINS
Persistence doesn’t mean you’ll never struggle. It doesn’t mean you won’t fall or feel tired.
It means choosing, again and again, to return to what matters.
Every time you pick yourself up, you prove to yourself you can keep going.
And little by little, what once felt impossible becomes part of who you are.
KEEP GOING
So if it feels hard right now — good. It means you’re in the middle of something that matters.
That hill you’re climbing isn’t proof you’re failing. It’s proof you’re moving.
Keep going.
